Flanagan's Village Hostel is a family run business in the beautiful seaside village of Doolin. Doolin is renowned for its lively traditional Irish music and breath-taking scenery. Local world famous attractions include the majestic Cliffs of Moher, the unique Burren, the beautiful Aran Islands and Doolin Cave.

Doolin's Traditional Music

Doolin is well know for its musicians, particularly Micho Russell for whom there is a memorial weekend every year on the last full weekend in February. There is also live traditional music played most nights during the summer. The owner of the hostel, Gerard Flanagan, is very passionate about the local music tradition. Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher rise to an impressive 702 feet (214 meters) giving spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and are home to an estimated 30,000 bird of 29 different species.

The Burren

The Burren is full of history and interesting geology. This barren landscape is home to a huge variety of plant and animal life. There are many megalithic tombs, portal dolmens and ring forts, some of which are in very good condition, scatted all over the land.

The Aran Islands

The Aran Islands are three beautiful islands of the coast of Clare. Doolin is the nearest ferry port to the islands. The island are a Gaeltacht (a place where Irish is the first language).

Doolin Cave

Doolin cave houses the longest stalactite in the northern hemisphere. Shuttle busses to the cave are just 3 minutes walk from the hostel.
